No, not Bourbonnais, IL, but Bourbonnais, a historic province in France that flourished during the eleventh and twelfth centuries. In this area there are hundreds of churches built in the Romanesque style. In 2004 Stephen Murray, an art history professor, and his students recieved a $500,000 grant to document, process, and archive data from the churches into a digital database, all available online. |

Put industry in charge of skills govt told (Dec 06 2006 07:49 GMT) - Skillset warmly welcomes the recommendations of the Leitch Review published today and its endorsement of Sector Skills Council?s and the industry-led approach to tackling skills and training issues. The independent review, commissioned by Gordon Brown to investigate the changes necessary to meet the skills challenges of the UK economy in 2020, has concluded that industry should be the driving force behind devising and implementing solutions to skills and education problems via its Sector Skills Council. |

Arba Minch Festival in Ethiopia (Dec 06 2006 07:49 GMT) - Southern Ethiopia is the cradle of mankind. It is the home of 55 distinct and diverse peoples who travel annually to Arba Minch, the centre of the Rift valley, to meet, celebrate and perform their traditional music and dance at the Festival of a Thousand Stars. This year's edition wil take place between 16 and 18 December in Arba Minch.
