The G.I.F.T. (Dec 07 2006 23:53 GMT) - To sum up my recent experiences playing Gears online, I only have to point you using the magic of the webs to this PA comic. Just substitute Gears of War every time it mentions Unreal Tournament, and you have my last two days' gaming in a nutshell. However, I have to say that the wireless headset I bought is slick as teflon. I wouldn't trade it for the wired headset if you paid me, unless you paid me very much. Need sleep, though. |

Yawn (Dec 07 2006 23:53 GMT) - Man, I'm paying for last night's excesses this morning. Sitting in a Starbucks in Bothell waiting for this meeting to start. It'll be boring and stupid. After that I'll drive all the way back down to Kent for another meeting at 2pm. I'm not going to get anything of substance done today. |

YES! (Dec 07 2006 23:53 GMT) - I did it, finally! After at least 400 attempts, I took down General RAAM's scraggly ass on Insane difficulty in Gears. I guess I can change the tagline on my webcam image now. I feel like I just won the lottery or perhaps brought Osama to justice. It's a big deal. |

I suck (Dec 07 2006 23:53 GMT) - I realize that you know that, but I just wanted to reiterate it for those who arrived late. That said, here's what I've been doing since we last spoke: 1) Playing Gears of War. I've tried to beat the final boss on the hardest difficulty at least 300 times without success, even though beating him on the lower two difficulties took 2 tries and 1 try, respectively. 2) Playing Wii Sports. |
