Pawton Quoit (Fieldnotes by goffik) (Dec 10 2006 18:48 GMT) - Mrs Goffik and I were extremely lucky to have seein this on the last day of our trip in September. It's a cracking example of a quoit - the arrow-shaped capstone (which needs no introduction as it's well documented) is HUGE!!! It was really quite stunning. First of all, it was clear that neither wants to touch the central problem of our relationship with Iraq, which is that we have a President who won't listen to anyone and so anything said by experts will necessarily be irrelevant. |
