How Is Google Messing With You? (Dec 13 2006 08:58 GMT) - It seems to me I have more evidence every day that Google manipulates my Adsense income. Last month I averaged about $28 per day with Adsense and then, as if by magic, on December 1st it dropped to $22 per day and has been there so far this month, even though I'm getting a significant increase in traffic over most of my sites. What's up with that? I don't think I've had a $30 day yet this month |

Affiliate Business Made Over $100 Yesterday (Dec 13 2006 08:58 GMT) - I spend a lot of time complaining on this blog about the sad state of affairs my affiliate businesses are in, but today I actually have some good news. Between Google, eBay and my other forms of affiliate income, I made over $100 yesterday. This appears to be good solid income unlike a few days I've had over $100 that were just weird quirks like having someone buy $5000 worth of furniture from |

Google's Lame Attempt To Optimize My Adwords Campaign (Dec 13 2006 08:58 GMT) - I woke up this morning and found an email from the nice folks at Google Adwords informing me they had a customized keyword proposal for one of my ad campaigns. I found this interesting since they didn't even respond to my email from 2 weeks ago as to why they raised some minimum bids in that same campaign to absolutely ridiculous levels. This was brought on by me simply adding a couple dozen new |

Realization Of An Affiliate Business Goal (Dec 13 2006 08:58 GMT) - To build our affiliate businesses to bigger and better heights, my wife and I set a goal about this time last year that we would create at least 1,000 pages of content amongst our various web sites and accomplish that goal before the end of 2006. As of Wednesday November 15, 2006 the first part of that goal was realized. Unfortunately the second part of that goal has not been realized. Along with |

Google Doesn't Answer Adwords Email Inquiries (Dec 13 2006 08:58 GMT) - It's been almost a week now since I emailed the folks at Google Adwords about them ripping me off and doubling and tripling my minimum bids. I find it interesting that I have emailed both MSN and Yahoo, not even from inside my account, and have received an email back, the same day! I've had a problem getting some of my sites indexed and when I emailed Yahoo I got an almost immediate response, |

Google's Evil Adword Policy (Dec 13 2006 08:58 GMT) - I'm getting fairly convinced now that it is nearly impossible for the little guy (someone who spends under $1,000 per month) who uses Google Adwords to have a positive ROI. With Google's new landing page algorithms targeting the Adsense arbitrager and throwing a big net over that scheme, they are unfairly catching little fish. Unfortunately, I must be one of the little fish. The main problem I |

Adjusting My Affiliate Businesses Again (Dec 13 2006 08:58 GMT) - It seems like my home business career has been in constant flux for nearly 3 years now. I find something that works for a few months, I start thinking I might earn a steady income from this latest thing, and then out of the blue it goes flat. For nearly 3 years now I have averaged a little over $1,000 per month and cannot seem to get over that hump. In that 3 years time, fortunes have been made |

Georgia Governor Perdue Renews Call for HOPE Chest, Faith-Based Services Constitutional Amendments (Dec 13 2006 08:53 GMT) - Georgia Governor Perdue Renews Call for HOPE Chest, Faith-Based Services Constitutional AmendmentsDecember 12, 2006 -- ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue announced today his intentions to include in his 2007 legislative agenda two proposals to amend the Georgia Constitution – the HOPE Chest and the Faith and Family Services amendments. Both proposals were introduced and debated in the previous session of the Georgia General Assembly, but neither received the necessary two-thirds approval of both the House and Senate.“We need to preserve lottery funds for the HOPE scholarship and Pre-K, and we cannot afford to have the state continue discriminating against organizations simply because they are faith-based,” Governor Perdue told state legislators gathered in Athens for the Biennial Institute.“We must be committed to providing each and every child the opportunity for a brighter future. |
