Ohio AG Petro Sues USA Baby Stores For Failure To Deliver (Dec 13 2006 10:22 GMT) - Ohio AG Petro Sues USA Baby Stores For Failure To DeliverDecember 12, 2006 -- COLUMBUS – Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro announced today he filed suit against a previous owners of three USA Baby stores, Jim Lankey and his companies, and the new owners, Midwest Baby Group and its members, charging that the stores failed to deliver purchased merchandise, failed to provide refunds for undelivered items, and provided substandard customer service, violating the Consumer Sales Practices Act. “Consumers continue to file complaints stating problems with these stores failing to provide purchased items or refunds for undelivered ones. These types of business practices are unacceptable and unconscionable under Ohio consumer law,” said Petro. This is the second suit filed against Lankey; the first was filed in 2005. |
