CFFundamentals: Mimicking a form submission using CFHTTP (Dec 14 2006 23:58 GMT) - While developers who've used CFML for a long time will regard some topics as old hat, we have to remember that there are folks who either have come along recently or simply never used some feature. This is one of those topics, and since I answered it on a list, I offer it here. I'd like to start doing that more often (reformatting some answer I give on some list, so that others may learn from it.) As in this case, I'll refer to such as CFFundamentals and create a category for them so |

Mitsubishi releases jeans-themed "i" Kurashiki Edition (Dec 14 2006 23:57 GMT) - Filed under: Trends, Economy, Japan, Mitsubishi Click to enlargeThe Japanese automakers are the kings when it comes to putting together special limited-edition, limited-availability models for their home market. More often than not, these editions feature little more than a special interior color, accessory pack, and badging. The limited availability adds exclusivity, which begets desirability, and the editions sell. Mitsubishi's latest is a 100-unit limited edition of its "i" kei car. |

Monzy's latest clever, well-informed lyrics stand in stark contrast to Weird Al's latest proof that he wouldn't know a geek if he bit one's head off.[1] |

Sony patents LED-infused, motion-tracking controller (Dec 14 2006 23:51 GMT) - While the PS4 might be "just around the corner," and Nintendo's Wiimote is sure to give you all the (potentially dangerous) controller flinging fits you can handle, it appears that Sony's giving the whole "controller innovation" thing another go. Sure, Sony's faced its fair share of lawsuits (hasn't everyone?), and had noticeable trouble with Dual Shock in particular, but the less-than-revolutionary SIXAXIS controller is apparently lacking a heavily-desired feature: motion tracking. We're fairly certain that Sony is watching its toes to make sure the next lawsuit to hit doesn't come from the big N, but its latest patent describes a "handheld controller having detectable elements for tracking purposes," which admittedly sounds awfully familiar. |

Bob Dylan threatening lawsuit over Factory Girl (Dec 14 2006 23:47 GMT) - The movie Factory Girl may be shelved while Bob Dylan and his lawyers decided if he is shown in an unflattering light. Here's what the folks over at monstersandcritics.com had to say: Bob Dylan wants to stop the release of new film 'Factory Girl' because he believes it falsely implies he is responsible for Edie Sedgwick's suicide. Sedgwick, played by Sienna Miller, was Warhol's biggest protégé until she became addicted to drugs and killed herself by overdosing on barbiturates in 1971. |
