Nanosolar takes things to a ho' nubbah lebel (Dec 14 2006 01:55 GMT) - Last fall I mentioned a promising startup, Nanosolar, with a promising alternative solar power technology. At least one anonymous commentor was very sceptical, but I'm glad to report that the firm is about to take things to a ho' nubbah lebel: Nanosolar is soon going to build a large manufacturing facility to churn out "enough solar cells each year to generate 400 megawatts of electricity, roughly enough to light 300,000 homes." I hope this goes well and serves as a boost to additional venture investments into promising, lower cost alternative energy technology! |
