Time Warner Posts Higher Profit Despite AOL Losses (Jan 31 2007 18:40 GMT) - Media conglomerate Time Warner posted strong fourth quarter results Wednesday, despite a decline in revenue from online unit America Online. Revenue at AOL, which is continuing to undergo a massive transformation from dial-up Internet access provider to free-to-all Web portal supported by search and ad revenue, fell 7.5 percent. Time Warner's movie business fared even worse. |

Incremental Update to PDF (Jan 31 2007 18:37 GMT) - I would think it would be easier and clearer to use and FDF file to update the fields. One just creates an FDF on the fly, like the following, and opens the FDF file. Acrobat/Reader will match the FDF information to the named PDF and fields. It works in all versions 4.0 and above. |

Incremental Update to PDF (Jan 31 2007 18:37 GMT) - I deliberately creating my PDF’s to be read only, I am filling out the form on customers behalf. I am aware the company name and number do not appear in Acrobat version 5 and below. (I tell customers to upgrade if I detect that their version is too low!) I use Adobe Acrobat 6 Pro to create the PDF. I deliberately make the form non-linearized, I found it easier to edit this way. |

Web searchable folder of PDFs? (Jan 31 2007 18:37 GMT) - We are considering best methods to create a searchable PDF arcvhive via the web. We have a large number of PDFs we want to drop into a web folder and have a web page that allows people to search thru only those PDFs in that folder. The PDFs are complete with all meta data filled in. We would like the search feature to only search the meta data fields, not the entire document and OCR. Thou ... |

Incremental Update to PDF (Jan 31 2007 18:37 GMT) - I opened your form in Acrobat version 5 and noticed that all your form fields are set to 'read only'. I also noticed that the company number and company name do not appear on the form, but they appear in the exported FDF file. If I import the exported FDF file the information appears. I also opened the form in Acrobat version 7 Standard and received a font not found message. ... |
