Intelligence report: things are bad in Iraq (do they pay people for that insight?) (Feb 02 2007 23:50 GMT) - A grim report on Iraq: A new National Intelligence Estimate depicts an Iraq involved in a multi-faceted struggle among religious groups and sects and says that without a sharp reversal in the violence and changes among the Shiite, Sunni and Kurd leadership, the situation could further deteriorate. The estimate, which represents the views of all elements of the intelligence community, presents a much grimmer picture of the situation in Iraq than the Bush administration has acknowledged in the past. Considering the track record of intelligence reports on Iraq, this is probably good news. |

Buffalo Laptop Mouse With Retractable USB Cord (Feb 02 2007 23:46 GMT) - Business travelers have often chosen those tiny laptop mice that work decently but make your hand into THE CLAW. Well, this Buffalo Laptop Mouse is no different, but has a nice retractable USB cord to make your life easier. As tight on space as you are, we'd recommend just getting a regular desktop-sized mouse to use with your laptop instead of one of these small and not-quite-as-useful laptop mice. – Jason Chen The Buffalo mobile mouse [Akihabara News] |

Burglar caught in air conditioner (Feb 02 2007 23:46 GMT) - On a slow blog day, you can always trust a stupid criminal. Police arrested a suspected burglar who got stuck in the casing of an air conditioner that had been removed, his head and arms dangling out of the grocery store wall with the rest of his body inside. At least he kept his cool. |
