Wifi doesn't work after waking up from "sleep" in Vista (Mar 26 2007 14:57 GMT) - Hello all, I just bought a new Inspirion 6400 with Vista basic pre-loaded. I close the lid and the laptop goes into vista's "sleep" mode... and then I open the lid a few minutes later; the WIFI doesn't want to reconnect. Sometimes it takes 30 seconds, sometimes it takes 5 minutes, sometimes it doesn't want to reconnect at all. |

Thus, I just copied the relevant tasks out of their orginal file and inserted them into a new file. The problem is now, that some tasks have lost their numbering. I was changing the strings ... (Mar 26 2007 14:55 GMT) - I was changing the strings on my mandolin last night and I decided that there has to be a market for a string changing service : someone who'll come round to your house and do all that horrible and tedious stuff, and probably give the instrument a good clean as well. After all, people with pianos all use piano tuners so why not? So long as the changer didn't play better than you it would fine. |

Dual Boot XP/Vista - any known problems with Vista interfering with XP MBR? (Mar 26 2007 14:53 GMT) - Dual Booting XP Pro (SP2)/Vista Ultimate with VistaBoot Pro. Know about the problems relating to XP destroying restore points in Vista, but has anyone experienced problems the other way around (i.e. Vista (or Vista BootPro) messing with the XP MBR (or similar))? Clean installed retail Vista a few days ago, and every day since I have had to do a system restore before I could get XP to boot but no problems with restarts during the day, just when I start up first thing. |
