Gosub 60's Camera Phone Darts: Here's Tomato In Your Eye (Apr 26 2007 01:59 GMT) - A few days ago we ripped DoCoMo for thinking about turning the phone into a Wii remote, but now I think the technology was unfairly compared to Nintendo's little miracle baby. As we said, there's no room for swashbuckling or tennis, but the right motion-sensitive phone game can be fun. And here, I'm talking about Camera Phone Darts by Gosub 60. Using software from GestureTech, your phone's camera senses motion the way an optical mouse's sensor does, though the emphasis is twisting rather than linear tracking. The dart board appears on the screen, essentially on a virtual wall in front of you. |

John Reade of UBS: "Gata are idiots" (Apr 26 2007 01:56 GMT) - This morning our Comex floor source says the boys on the floor have been impressed how the market has absorbed enormous central bank selling. However, he felt they would attack again before the price slide would be halted. The gold open interest rose AGAIN, up 6609 contracts to 403,338, more anecdotal evidence of significant shorting by The Gold Cartel on a day the dollar went lower. |

Bulls Thrash 13045 Target (Apr 26 2007 01:56 GMT) - A bullish stampede made short work of our years-old Dow target at 13045 yesterday, telegraphing even higher prices in the days and perhaps weeks ahead. The target was intended not as kamikaze number for permabears, but rather as a logical place to short aggressively using a tight stop-loss. This we did, laying out shorts not only in the mini-Dow futures, but in the Cubes as well. |

Blanchard Economic Research Note (Apr 26 2007 01:56 GMT) - There seems to be a great deal of concern on the lack of follow through from investors at present and is being used as the reason for the inability to vault past the $700 price level. We would argue that the huge influx of Central Bank gold into the market is the only thing keeping prices from visiting these levels and highlight that prices holding up in the face of these significant sales increases has been nothing short of remarkable. The sales will abate and the $700 will be achieved. We s |

Gold Thoughts (Apr 26 2007 01:56 GMT) - How much has Gold benefited from the carry trade loans? How much of the run from US$640 to US$690 has been fueled by the same borrowed money that has pushed paper equities higher? Is Gold vulnerable when the carry trade loans are forced to unwind? Coding is easy, but the people who make the hard slog to support the community and the continued usefulness of Perl are rare and valuable, just like white camels.
