- Today in the 'Photography as a Business' class at the College of Lake County (in Grayslake, IL), the class was setting up and shooting still life tabletop photos. - Happy Birthday, Billy! Bill turned thirty today, and we had a marathon drinking session to celebrate. First we walked around LoDo (Lower Downtown) and ended up at Rock Bottom Brewery for a couple rounds of bloody marys. Then we headed over to Denver Chop House and Brewery for some martinis and wine with some mighty fine steaks. After that it was a two second walk to Sing Sing, a piano bar. |

- We flew out to Denver and then drove up to Vail to hit the slopes to celebrate Bill's 30th trip around the sun. I was envisioning weather like the times I've been to Tahoe - sunny and warm enough to ski in shorts and a t-shirt. This is not that. It's four degrees Fahrenheit, and with the wind chill, well below zero. Not warm! |
