Garden Furniture Stolen in Market Drayton (Apr 30 2007 16:30 GMT) - Five garden chairs have been stolen from a house in Market Drayton. Police are appealing for anyone who might be offered them for sale or has any information about the theft to contact them. The metal chairs were part of a set that also included a table and parasol, which were left behind at the property in Mercian Court. They were taken between 9pm on Saturday April 28th and 10am yesterday April 29th from the private garden, which is enclosed by walls. |

Witness Appeal to Halfway House Crash (Apr 30 2007 16:29 GMT) - A man was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving following a road collision involving two cars near Shrewsbury.Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened on the A458 at Halfway House just before 10.30pm on Saturday. A red Peugeot 306 travelling towards Welshpool was in collision with a red Toyota Celica, believed to have been travelling in the opposite direction. Both drivers were trapped and had to be released by the fire service. |

Carer Attacked During Oswestry Care Home Break-in (Apr 30 2007 16:27 GMT) - Police are appealing for information after a carer at a rest home in Oswestry was attacked by a male who had broken into the property. The female staff member at Oaklands, Weston Lane, was punched numerous times by the offender, who is thought to have been in his late teens. The incident happened at about 4am on Saturday April 28. She was not seriously injured but left frightened and shocked by the incident. The offender then ran off. |

Road Rage hunt (Apr 30 2007 16:26 GMT) - Police are appealing for witnesses to a road rage incident in which a cigarette end was thrown into a car in Shrewsbury.The incident happened on The Mount, outside Ye Olde Bucks Head Inn at the Frankwell Island at about 4pm on Friday April 27th. A woman driving a blue Audi TT convertible had stopped to allow another driver out of a parking space outside the pub. A man behind the Audi in a white Mercedes Sprinter panel van sounded his horn at the victim, before throwing his cigarette end through the open roof of her car. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward. |

House Broken into in Shrewsbury (Apr 30 2007 16:24 GMT) - Police in Shrewsbury are appealing for witnesses after a house was broken into but nothing stolen. The property in Belmont, which fronts directly on to the road, was broken into between 6.15pm on Thursday April 26 and 12.15am on Friday April 27th. |
