The value of standardized testing (Jun 01 2007 18:57 GMT) - I know that there are many homeschooling families who do not want their children tested each year. I am not one of them! I WANT my children tested and this year's test results, just received in today's mail, confirmed what I thought were my children's strengths and weaknesses, but also pointed out some things that I didn't know. I knew my son's math scores were going to be low and they were ... the lowest they've ever been - way lower than I'm happy with. |

Summer Homeschool - what will you be doing?? (Jun 01 2007 18:57 GMT) - We have never really carried school through the summer, but we will be doing that this summer for several reasons. My son needs some extra work on his math and I sorta let a few things fall between the cracks during our 2nd semester. I hit a bit of burnout this year for some reason and I want to take some time each day and cover the material we didn't finish.
