Raw Emotion (Jul 31 2007 03:58 GMT) - My very first blog, was this little blog on Aol that did not have very many readers, and was something of a chaotic out pouring of my emotions and feelings at the time, unflitered and uneditied. Though this blog is a good deal more orginized and profressional then that one ever was, those kind of writings were very theruputic for me, and helped me deal with my mania, so I thought I would create a catagory here dedicated to my stream of concious writings. They are likely to be dark and distubring in some reguards. I feel the sorrow sweel within me and yet there is a numbness there which will not grow I try to find the asnwers but they will not come and only ecchos are in my mind trapped within the vines while am lost in the darkness |

Must view - Merlin Mann's 'Inbox Zero' talk at Google (Jul 31 2007 03:53 GMT) - This morning I am enjoying a cup of tea and sitting back to watch the video of Merlin Mann's "Inbox Zero" talk from last week on the Google campus. If you deal with tons of e-mail and you need some tips and inspiration about how to tame your inbox, this is a worthwhile video to watch... I am guilty of living out of my inbox at work and sometimes at home, which is why my work e-mail account is frequently pushing the ceiling on my account size limit. Some of the tips that Merlin offers that just don't work for me: Do e-mail less - In my career, e-mail is a lifeline, and being able to respond to incoming messages is critical. |

Boston bound in a week (Jul 31 2007 03:53 GMT) - I am tagging along with Natalie next week for a trip to Boston, and this weekend I am trying to figure out what I want to do while I am there. Natalie's itinerary for the National Congress of State Legislators (NCSL) conference has some good highlights - a night at Fenway Park to watch the Red Sox and a concert with the Boston Pops, to name two - but we will be in the area both before and after the conference once we arrive on a redeye flight from Seattle. Other possibilities while we are there include a road trip to Providence, Rhode Island - a town that Natalie has grown enamored with over two other trips to the East Coast for work earlier this year. Natalie and I visited Boston for about a week back in 2000, when we made a trip to the area to meet with long-distance online coworkers that we had never met before at the home offices of Lycos.com. |

DIY Planner - A Tinderbox Full of Notes (Jul 31 2007 03:53 GMT) - Tinderbox gets a full review treatment on DIY Planner. As usual, the commenters for the article mention the documentation and the perceived need for a "Tinderbox for Dummies" kind of guide. But as the review notes, the folks at Eastgate are not too eager to define how you should use their program. As a long-time Tinderbox user who still doesn't feel like his understanding about this tool goes deep enough, I can understand the trepidation. But I would urge anyone to take Tinderbox for a spin and just see how it can bend to your ways. |
