- I am trying to figure out how to set up a network between vista & xp pro, Ive figured out how to set up file sharing, but I want the 2 computers to be on a network also so that I can add users of one computer to have certain permissions to folders on the other computer. for example when you right click a folder and go to the security settings, and click the add button under Groups and user names, and click the locations button I want to be able to choose the second computer as a location. Right now I have one user account on each computer with the same user name and password, the computers are also on the same workgroup. The computer running vista is a laptop with a wireless connection to the router and the xp is a desktop that is wired to the router. |
