Sojourn (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - In search of personal excellence. That was and still is the goal that I keep reaching for. That's what happens when a person embarks on a personal search for who they are. People can say anything about you and to you and convince you that they know you better than you could ever possiblly know yourself. People can believe anything about you and convince you that they know what they are talkin ... |

Socialism, captialism and the little red hen (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - I was reading through the forums and came across the question posed by Bunk about the little red hen. I ended up doing some reading because I could see it being propaganda for both at first, but then as I looked deeper I found that it was more likely about something else. I think if I was going to put it in the propaganda catagory I would have to look at it as propagana for religion. That asid ... |

Thoughts (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - This happens with regularity now. The waves of a ceritan emotion will come, settle for a while and then disapate. It changes with regularity as well, so it isn't something constant. Tonight a great sense of hopelessness has come. I'm not sure why they come like they do, or what they mean. |

History repeats (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - Trying to live a simple life when things just keep happening, sometimes seems more like trying to climb a mountian with no gear, just a pair of wrong shoes and a lite jacket. That's what life ends up being like sometimes. It's been like that for a while. I quit getting upset and have spent much of my time trying to figure out how to live simply anyway. I figure I can't change anyone's mind abo ... |

And about two years later (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - Well, after a very long road full of all kinds of stuff, I am back here again. Lessons have a way of happening inspite of us. We moved out of the farm almost 2 years ago. We haven't had the net since then so this has just waited here. And I'm glad to see that this site is still running. |

Guilty pleasures (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - So everybody has a few 'vices' that, while not morally wrong or outright embarrassing, they prefer to keep a secret: the Pepsi guy's fondness for Lemon Coke, the Republican senator's well-built pool boy, Eminem's My Little Pony collection. Usually people don't exactly shout their guilty pleasures from the rooftops, but being the curious person that I am, I want to know: What are your guilty ple ... |

A good name + logo (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - Well, actually I'm out of ideas. Of good ideas for a new name for my self-owned company. By now, it is Fabian Wolf-Webdesign, abbreviated its "FWW". I've already gathered some ideas of how to really rework my website design, based on great sites like that or this one, but the new name - and thus, the possible new CI / style - is still missing. Does anyone have an idea where to start off with t ... |

Das Auftauchen (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - My name is Patrick Christian Staples. About three years ago, I was quite active here. I wrote quite a bit about my religious views, the love of my life, and my artistic pursuits. It has been a long time. I recently served a full-time mission for my church in Hamburg, Germany, spending the majority of my time (a bit longer than a year) in the Ruhrgebiet: |

69 Sounds filthier than it is. (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - The past two weeks have been incredible. So much has happened that i'm struggling to make sense of it all. It sounds utterly absurd, i know, but i fell in love and had my heart broken in that small space of time. I ruined it for myself with my tough-as-nails exterior. There are so many things i wish i could change. |

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - Film Reviews: Winifred Watson's 1938 novel "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" may be small potatoes in the rarefied all-of-life-in-one-day literary realm best exemplified by "Ulysses" and "Mrs. Dalloway," but it still provides enough charm and feeling to sustain a film version 70 years later. |

Melodies of Spring (Maerzmelodie) (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - Film Reviews: A faux tuner in which characters mime clips from well-known German ditties, "Melodies of Spring" doesn't go the distance on a musical level but has enough charm and wry humor to agreeably pass the time as a relationship comedy. |

Seaview (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - Film Reviews: Melancholy but sparkled with poetic moments of beauty and even humor, docu "Seaview" explains how Mosney, a former holiday camp on the Irish coast once run by resort empire Butlins, is now a center for asylum-seekers. Helmed by digital media/video artists Nicky Gogan and Paul Rowley, pic sensitively evokes the almost surreal collision between the camp's faded seaside glamour and the refugees' tragic stories. Fests and upmarket cablers are sure to take a view of this, but prospects elsewhere will be limited. |

Semi-Pro (Mar 01 2008 02:43 GMT) - Film Reviews: Very much in the tradition of "Slap Shot," George Roy Hill's raucously funny and foul-mouthed 1977 laffer about the misadventures of a minor-league hockey team, "Semi-Pro" scores big laughs with the rowdy play-by-play of hard-luck hoopsters struggling for professional survival. |
