Genesys Tserver Textpad Syntax File (Mar 01 2008 02:55 GMT) - I got tserver-log.syn from an instructor in one of the classes I took at Genesys. It is a Syntax file for use with TextPad, so that keywords will be highlighted while reading Tserver and other log files. It helps a bit reading the nastiness, but not as much as Kazimir. To install tserver-log. |

A DOS attack is not a DoS attack (Mar 01 2008 02:54 GMT) - Anyone who works in an IT related field, or who possesses a basic understanding of networking, or even those who have used the internet in the past 10 years, have heard of DoS attacks. Regardless of method, the concept of bombarding a server with data to the point of failure is a simple concept. Historically, this started with hackers crashing web servers with an onslaught of request packets. The cat and mouse game of security developments vs. hacking attacks, generated a wide variety of DoS and subsequent Distributed DoS (DDoS) weaponry. |

Patriots optimism and Super Bowl embarrassment (Mar 01 2008 02:54 GMT) - Whether this was the most exciting Super Bowl ever seems to be largely dependent on whether you're a Giants fan, or a Patriots fan, or couldn't care less about either team. The Giants' upset win in yesterday's NFL championship game left the Pats (and their fans) shaking their heads in stunned disbelief, and provided a clear lesson on not taking things for granted. |
