- El Ordnance Survey (Reino Unido) ha desarrollado su plataforma Web 2.0, OS OpenSpace, y la ha puesto a disposición de los desarrolladores siguiendo la línea de Google Maps API. OS OpenSpace es un servicio gratuito que permite a los usuarios crear sus propios "mash-ups" de la cartografía del Ordnance Survey, utilizando datos que van desde escalas que engloban toda Gran Bretaña hasta grandes escalas con datos a nivel de calle. La API OS OpenSpace (Application Programming Interface) ha sido probada por un grupo de desarrolladores desde el 14 de diciembre cuando se dió por cerrada la primera versión alpha. Desde entonces, 12 desarrolladores han puesto datos en internet utilizando la plataforma OS OpenSpace. |
