Meer dan honderd titels in ontwikkeling voor Wiiware (Mar 01 2008 23:01 GMT) - Er zijn voor het nog te lanceren gamesplatform Wiiware voor de Nintendo Wii al meer dan honderd games in ontwikkeling. Het is nog niet bekend hoeveel van die games bij de Amerikaanse lancering op 12 mei gereed zullen zijn. Voor de gamer betekent introductie van Wiiware niets anders dan een vergroting van het aanbod op de Wii, maar aan spelontwikkelaars biedt het platform de mogelijkheid om relatief makkelijk een game voor de Nintendo-spelcomputer te ontwikkelen. Nintendo's hoofd projectontwikkelaar, Tom Prata, vertelde aan Gamespot dat er al meer dan honderd titels in aantocht zijn. Hoeveel daarvan er bij de lancering op 12 mei beschikbaar zullen zijn is nog niet duidelijk, maar volgens Prata is dat een 'aanzienlijk deel, met daarbij games uit alle populaire genres'. |

Information Literacy and the Curriculum in North Ayrshire: from Theory into Practice - D2A (Mar 01 2008 23:00 GMT) - As a result of the successful evaluation of the Primary School Library Project and based on practice developed during the pilot phase of the North Ayrshire Information Literacy Toolkit, information literacy is now a feature of the curriculum in North Ayrshire primary schools. This seminar will examine the background to the development of Information Literacy Toolkit, provide an overview of the resources contained within it, and provide interesting case studies of the way in which the programme has been developed within schools. Information Literacy in the primary curriculum will be presented as a feature of all aspects of the curriculum, including ICT, reader development and the development of successful, confident learners. The toolkit has also been piloted within two secondary schools and discussion will take place as to the usefulness of the toolkit at this level and its possible extension to support learning within S1 and S2. |

Por ello no es de extrañar que los datos facilitados desde la gerencia del Área Sanitaria VIII, la del Nalón, cifren en un 86% el gasto farmacéutico correspondiente a los pensionistas. En euros, significa que la población mayor del Nalón generó en medicamentos un coste 19,1 millones de euros de los 22,3 millones totales gastados en toda área sanitaria. |
