- Hi there, This has to be the first day on the trip so far that I feel I have enough energy left to impart my experience on you folk. Now I know that sounds a little dramatic, but for someone like me who has the arms of an 80 year old grandma and need my sleep like one too, this has been a bit of challenge. We are now a couple of days from Panama (yippee!) and everything so far has gone brilliantly. I have just about managed to adjust to the 3 hours helming, 3 hours sleeping schedule and as scary as this sounds seeing as we have been at sea for seven days now, I think I have just grasped how to helm properly (thanks to Neil and his 3am steering lesson this morning)! |

We found an artist who can make a wooden sign that we will attach on the stern, something to match the style of the boat. - In our last few days in Bequia (pronounced Bek-way) we've finished some varnishing and such, then taken the ferry over to St. Vincent to explore the town of Kingstown. It was vibrant, not touristy at all and quite fun. The market was lively and the prices of produce much cheaper than in Bequia. We loaded up on vegies and were able to do some real shopping (replacement screwdriver for the one that jumped overboard), though other things were harder to find (rubber spatula to replace the one that has stiffened to uselessness). |
