- Should I max out my credit cards to buy myself a few extra months before they lower my available balance? Can I call my largest credit card and get them to raise my limit by transfering over all my other credit cards into it and closing them, thereby having one payment? This will lower my payment and it seems that it would be good business decision for the credit card. I am worried however that they will put up a red flag on my account and limit it anyway. what do you think. |

Charge-offs (May 18 2008 00:53 GMT) - Can I still do a settlement program even after the company has 'charged off? (whatever that means) One company offered me a 35% settlement to keep the account from being charged off, but the monthly payment they wanted was more that I can afford. They said if I couldn't pay them that, there was nothing else they could do but let it go. We're so far behind now, I don't know what to do. This is the second company in a month to threaten to sue... |
