Password change by user (May 19 2008 07:55 GMT) - Hi, I have setup usernames and passwords in the database using the tools - Security path. To enhance security I have disabled the ByPass key (Shift key). However, this means that I have to change their passwords for them etc. What I would like is to have a Command Button on the startup page that would act as a Shortcut to the Tools/Security Change password window. Of course, they would only be able to change their password, i. |

Mets get to Wang, beat Yanks for sweep (AP) (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - Carlos Delgado had a three-run homer taken away on a blown call, then promptly knocked an RBI base hit. It was that kind of night for the Mets. Oliver Perez shut down the slumping Yankees, Jose Reyes homered for the second consecutive game and the Mets cruised to an 11-2 rout of their cross-town [...] |

KENNEDY PUZZLE (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - BOSTON - Doctors were working yesterday to determine the cause of a seizure that sent Sen. Ted Kennedy to the hospital and prompted an outpouring of support for the liberal political icon. The 76-year-old Massachusetts Democrat spent a peaceful night at Massachusetts General Hospital, and few details of his condition were expected before a battery of tests was completed by today, at the earliest. The lone surviving son of the famed political family was flown Saturday morning to Boston after becoming ill and being treated at the emergency room of Cape Cod Hospital. His physician said he did not suffer a stroke, as was first suspected, and he had recovered enough by Saturday afternoon to watch a Boston Red Sox game on TV and eat takeout food from the city's famed Legal Sea Foods. |

New Jersey detectives were interviewing Choi in LA, and he's set to face a judge today for possible extradition. |

YES, HE CANNES! (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - CANNES - Whew! Indiana Jones' return to the screen after nearly two decades is a lot of fun - not, as many of us feared, another "The Phantom Menace," George Lucas' lucrative but leaden effort to exhume his other megafranchise. "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," which premiered yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival, is often thrilling, sometimes charming, occasionally clunky family entertainment that perhaps wisely doesn't attempt to scale the heights of "Raiders of the Lost Ark." On a satisfaction scale, it lands squarely between "The Temple of Doom," and "The Last Crusade," the second and third installments of the original trilogy conceived by Lucas and directed by Steven Spielberg. Fans of the series - you can include me - will lap it up, flaws and all, and likely make it the summer's biggest blockbuster. |

BIG FLICK WINS ONLY A POLITE RECEPTION (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" received a warm but less than ecstatic reception at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday. The hottest ticket at the 12-day festival on the French Riviera had journalists jostling with security guards and jumping barricades to get into a press screening that preceded last night's red-carpet premiere with stars Harrison Ford, Karen Allen, Shia LaBeouf and Cate Blanchett. Even an announcement of the start of the screening drew applause. More clapping - though not thunderous - greeted the end of the film. Producer George Lucas had expressed fears that the notoriously tough Cannes audience would have its knives out for "Crystal Skull" because it is a sequel to a much-beloved classic trilogy. |

DEM PEACE TALKS (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - Top supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama have been quietly negotiating a cease-fire to unite the strife-torn party after Obama wraps up the nomination, sources said yesterday. "We will be unified come November. We have to be unified," said one top Clinton donor. The source said that high-level fund-raisers working for both campaigns have been informally discussing the need for each side to lay down arms as the end of the lengthy and often bitter primary battle approaches. "The only way we lose in November is if we fail to get squarely behind whoever is the nominee," the donor said. |

'NARNIA' IS MAGIC AT BOX OFFICE (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," the Disney blockbuster, opened at No. 1 with an estimated $56.6 million take - not quite high enough to impress industry analysts. The film, based on the "Narnia" books by CS Lewis about a youthful warrior battling the forces of evil, was expected to open in the $80 million range. |

TOP SCIENTIST COOLS ON GLOBAL-WARMING STORMS (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - WASHINGTON - Global warming isn't to blame for the recent jump in hurricanes in the Atlantic, according to a study by a prominent federal scientist whose position on the subject has shifted. Not only that, warmer temperatures will actually reduce the number of hurricanes in the Atlantic and those making landfall, research meteorologist Tom Knutson reported in a study released yesterday. Ever since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, hurricanes have often been seen as a symbol of global warming's wrath. Another group of experts, those who study hurricanes and who are more often skeptical about global warming, say there is no link. They attribute the increase to a natural multidecade cycle. |

HILLARY: NOT SO FAST, O (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign yesterday rejected the notion that Barack Obama will be entitled to claim the Democratic nomination after tomorrow night's primaries in Kentucky and Oregon. "There is no standard under which Senator Obama will have secured the nomination Tuesday night," Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson fumed in a statement. "Declaring mission accomplished doesn't make it so," he added. "And taking victory laps before the nomination is actually secured is a slap in the face to the voters of Florida and Michigan and the states that have not yet voted." According to the Obama campaign, he will have secured an unsurpassable majority of pledged delegates in the primary contests after his expected big win in Oregon, leaving Sen. |

MAC'S MONEY MAN QUITS OVER LOBBY LINKS (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - A top adviser overseeing finances for Republican John McCain's presidential campaign has quit over his ties with lobbying, a campaign official said yesterday. Former Texas Rep. Thomas Loeffler, a national finance co-chairman, is the fifth McCain adviser to step down amid concern over potential conflicts of interest among lobbyists in the campaign. McCain has made ethics and transparency a centerpiece of his campaign. Last week, he established a policy requiring advisers with lobbying ties to sever them or leave. |

STRESSED MA, ALLERGIC TYKES (May 19 2008 07:54 GMT) - Women who are stressed about money, relationships and other problems during pregnancy may give birth to babies predisposed to allergies and asthma, researchers said yesterday. The findings, presented at a meeting of the American Thoracic Society in Toronto, suggest a pregnant woman's stress may have lasting consequences. "This research adds to a growing body of evidence that links maternal stress . . . |
