Brandon Matthews submits: There seems to be a lot of excitement surrounding a new Sirius XM (SIRI) application for Apple's (AAPL) iPhone. Sure it’s nice to have another way of receiving the Sirius XM service on a device that has sold millions and will probably sell tens of millions more by Christmas, yet it will probably not result in any new subscribers to Sirius. So what can the iPhone do for Sirius XM?
What Will the Future Hold for SIRI-XM? (Aug 15 2008 07:55 GMT)
Gino Lattarulo submits:You have to wonder what Mel Karazmin has up his sleeve next now that he has managed to pull off the merger of the decade. Now of course comes the enormous task of convincing Wall Street that satellite radio is a profitable enough business to keep the naked shorting wolves at bay. Although it is encouraging that short interest in SIRIXM (SIRI) (I PRONOUNCE THEE SERICKSUM) has been cut in half recently, it doesn't exactly fill me with warm fuzzy thoughts either. After all, shorting is what has pounded this stock into dust in the last 30 days.

DISH Network Falls Off the Roof (Aug 11 2008 19:00 GMT)
Shelly Palmer submits: DISH Networks (DISH) Q2 profits were up. Unfortunately, 25,000 subscribers went missing.
