Release - CacheMate 1.3.4 (Pocket PC) (Oct 26 2008 18:09 GMT)
This release includes a handful of usability enhancements, a detailed list of which is in the change log, and a bug fix or two. A workaround has been added due to the apparent inability of the Pocket IE 6 engine to handle horizontally aligned hyperlinks, which must be manually enabled on those devices (hint: open the Preferences dialog and look in the Options tab). Log timestamps in exported GPX files are now expressed as GMT. A Windows Smartphone version with equivalent changes will be released soon.
Notes exporting a la Garmin's Colorado (Oct 25 2008 18:52 GMT)
Plugins are now available for both Windows Mobile versions of CacheMate which export log notes in the format used by Garmin's Colorado GPS receiver. The resulting file can be imported into GSAK, uploaded to Geocaching.com, or used with any other software that can handle it. Enjoy!
WM CacheMate plugins, new and updated (Jul 20 2008 18:26 GMT)
The TomTom export plugin has been updated for both Pocket PC and Windows Smartphone versions, fixing a map display problem. KML export plugins have also been released for both Windows Mobile editions.
Forum additions (Jul 14 2008 15:22 GMT)
As the new web site evolves, the need is becoming greater for some feedback from its users. Along those lines, a new forum has been created to help you voice any suggestions or comments related to the site itself (as opposed to any of the products available on it). There are already a couple of discussions open there, and more are welcome.
CacheMate - Award Nomination (Jul 11 2008 16:17 GMT)
CacheMate has been nominated for Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine's Best Software Awards 2008. This is actually the second time that it's been nominated, but perhaps it will do better this time around, now that Windows Smartphone devices are supported as well. Wish us luck!
Mailing list update (Jul 07 2008 17:01 GMT)
It looks like the updates mailing list is finally up and running properly. If you subscribed to the mailing list after the new site was brought online, but are not currently subscribed, feel free to re-subscribe at this time. You can check and change your subscription status on the site through your personal control panel. Auto-subscribing, triggered on an opt-in basis by purchases, isn't currently active. It will soon be up and running as well, though.
Welcome to Smittyware.com v2.0! (Jul 01 2008 15:07 GMT)
The company isn't changing much, but the site certainly has. First and foremost is the unified login system for all of the site features. Once you have created an account on the site, that one login will give you access to our forums, support desk, and updates mailing list. Also, if you add your order numbers to the account, any future email changes here on the site will propagate to those orders, so that everything will be kept up to date with one change. That feature works with mailing list subscriptions as well.
