V is for Voted!

(Oct 22 2008 02:11 GMT)
This morning we ran some errands, went back to the house to retrieve my forgotten ID, and then we went to the village hall to vote. When we got there, we were waved over to a small table and given early-voting applications to fill in and sign - fortunately, I had thought to retrieve my [...]

TSA Agent Ripped Off Electronics, Sold Them On eBay

(Oct 13 2008 21:55 GMT)
Geez, and I was pissed when a TSA agent in Washington relieved me of my expensive Hawaiian moisturizer/sunscreen because I forgot to repack it in a plastic bag and put it in my checked baggage. Imagine being a news person on your way to cover some story, having to call your producer to say “The [...]

Obama Magnet Stickerized

(Oct 12 2008 21:02 GMT)
Finally had a chance to place my Obama ‘08 magnet on my car… but instead of attaching it to the outside, where it could get ripped off, I stuck it to the inside of my rear window (on the left, naturally) with wide cellophane tape. I’ve had it for a couple of days - my [...

Palin Abused Power, Not Quite Breaking The Law

(Oct 11 2008 02:03 GMT)
It’s a Friday night, time for a news release that’s not favorable to the GOP. Yep, Our Sarah abused the power of her office in pestering her public safety commissioner to fire her ex-brother-in-law. Apparently she thought the trooper posed a threat, even when dressed as Safety Bear at an even Palin was to appear [...

Debate Rematch: Town Hall In Nashville

(Oct 08 2008 02:44 GMT)
First of all, I loves me some Tom Brokaw. Should have asked a question about all the crap that’s been flying around from Clearwater, Florida. Thanks for letting us know we can cheer and jeer at home, Tom. And they come out of their respective corners.

TAR: Mr and Mrs Claus Go Back to Beekeeping

(Sep 30 2008 21:52 GMT)
Yes, I took a season off and didn’t watch the 12th season of Amazing Race. At all. Can you believe it? All because we were out of town or something the night of the premiere, and even though it was on TiVo for a couple of weeks, I never got around to watching, and didn’

Palin: Failin?

(Sep 26 2008 04:55 GMT)
The TV Watch - A Question Reprised, but the Words Come None Too Easily for Palin - NYTimes.com I couldn’t bear to watch the video, but ran across this summary of the Katie Couric interview with Sarah Palin. It’s painfully obvious that without a teleprompter, she fails miserably.

(Sep 26 2008 01:06 GMT)
Yesterday, it was my birthday. The story of Margriet Oostveen, the Dutch writer who volunteered for both US Presidential campaigns to gather insight and material for her column broke, and what keen prezzie! She claims she was taught how to write “letters to the editor” that would be signed by real McCain supporters in [...

(Sep 23 2008 23:26 GMT)
Hey, remember back in 2004 when we were all freaked out about the primaries, and this little story about a judge who liked to “pump it up” in court broke into the news?  Well, it took them long enough, but the Oklahoma Supreme Court disbarred him. Judge disbarred for using sex device at trial ::

Yesterday: Summer Sunday, Various Services

(Sep 23 2008 04:41 GMT)
Right, right, right…. some actual blogging, rather than mere links shared lazyblogged via Google Reader. It was a late start, but David had made some good, strong coffee (and didn’t have to be prompted via Twitter) and I got to church in time for most of choir practice. I’

Project Fair Play | Stop Illegal Church Electioneering

(Sep 23 2008 01:29 GMT)
It’s amazing how much I didn’t know about the separation of church and state. I’ve always been a big proponent of the concept (hmm, something to do with being bullied as a redheaded stranger-child in a near-theocracy).

(Sep 22 2008 01:57 GMT)
