eurephia is an authentication plug-in for OpenVPN. The plug-in enhances OpenVPN authentication by introducing user name and password authentication in addition to SSL certificates. In addition, eurephia will blacklist IP addresses, user accounts, and/or certificates if too many failed attempts are registered. On the Linux platform, iptables support is also included, which can be used to restrict each user's network access through the VPN channel. For the moment, eurephia depends on a patched OpenVPN server to provide a secure user name and certificate mapping.
